Tujhe Meri Kasam: Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia Deshmukh's debut film to re-release in theatres; know when you can watch it

The film Tujhe Meri Kasam is definitely special in many ways than one. The film, which was released in the year 2003, was directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar and produced by Ramoji Rao. The super talented Viju Shah, who was the film’s music director, had churned out many memorable tracks in the film, which are cherished even today.

The good news is that the film is now being re-released in theatres across India. The film’s leading man Riteish Deshmukh, who had made his debut with the said film, in a media statement, said that he was overjoyed that ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ was coming back to theaters and that this film was not just his debut but also the start of something beautiful in his life. He added that it was amazing to revisit those early days and share this special moment with his fans once again.

On the other hand, there was Genelia Deshmukh, who too, had made her Bollywood debut with the said film. In a media statement by her regarding the film’s re-release, she said that she was thrilled that ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ was returning to theatres and that the film holds a very special place in her heart as it marked the beginning of her journey in the film industry and with Riteish. She added that she was so excited for fans to experience the magic of this love story all over again.

As for the films’ premise, it tells the story of two childhood friends, Akash (Riteish Deshmukh) and Anjali (Genelia Deshmukh) whose lives get posed with a challenge when a murder mystery unfolds. Since Akash lands up being the prime suspect, he runs away with Anjali, in an attempt to prove his innocence. The film, then, mirrors how the innocent friendship between Akash and Anjali slowly and gradually blossoms into love.
