The name on everybody’s lips ever since the release of Ranbir Kapoor’s blockbuster film Animal is none other than Tripti Dimri. The actress is also being hailed as ‘Bhabhi 2’ and the ‘National Crush Of India’ by some fans. Not only this but her followers on Instagram also skyrocketed to a whopping 3.8 million. However, did you know that the actress also got a jaw-dropping fee for the movie?
Yes, you heard that right! According to a news report in Financial Express, Tripti has charged a whopping Rs 40 lakh for the movie. Well, now looking at her popularity and bankability being increasing day by day after Animal, we will not be surprised if her remuneration for her upcoming projects increases even more. Dimri essayed the role of Zoya Riaz, a beautiful young woman with whom Ranbir’s character Rannvijay has an extra-marital affair with. However, her character is soon found to be a mole that was planted by Bobby Deol’s character Abrar Haque to trap Ranbir.
Tripti was earlier seen in movies like Laila Majnu, Bulbbul, and Qala. Many fans felt that the actress should have been hyped and noticed much earlier with these movies wherein she made an impressive mark with her performance. Meanwhile, the actress made a lot of noise in Animal due to her intimate scenes with Ranbir. In a recent interview, she revealed how her parents had reacted to the same.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, she said, “My parents got a little taken aback. (They said) ‘We have never seen something like this in films and you have done it.’ It took them time to get over that scene. They were very sweet to me though. They were like, ‘You shouldn’t have done that… but it’s okay. As parents, we will obviously feel this.’” On the work front, Tripti has a romantic flick opposite Vicky Kaushal. She is speculated to have been roped in for an ambitious project alongside Prabhas.
