Torbaaz director Girish Malik's son dies on Holi after fall from building, Sanjay Dutt 'deeply saddened'
Sanjay Dutt's Torbaaz director Girish Malik lost his 17-year-old son on Holi after he fell from the fifth floor of his apartment in Mumbai's Andheri.
Actor Sanjay Dutt ’s film Torbaaz director Girish Malik’s son died after falling down from the fifth floor of his home in Mumbai. The actor was deeply saddened as informed by Torbaaz’s producer Rahul Mitra as per reports.
Girish’s 17-year-old son Manan had reportedly returned home after playing Holi. He fell from the fifth floor of his apartment in Andheri. He was immediately admitted to the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital but could not survive the injuries. The news was confirmed by Girish Malik's partner Puneet Singh to Times of India.
In an interaction with Times of India, Torbaaz producer Rahul condoled the death and was quoted saying, “I am non-plussed to learn about the unfortunate incident and just informed Sanju who’s deeply saddened too. We are shocked beyond words. I had met Mannan a couple of times along with Girish during the making of Torbaaz and found him to be very talented & a boy of promise. May God give Girish and the entire family strength to cope up with this irreversible loss. My heartfelt condolences."
The shocking news was confirmed by Girish Malik's partner Puneet Singh to the paper. “Mr. Malik’s son has passed away but I cannot say anything at the moment about what exactly happened. We are not in a state to speak,” he told the paper.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sanjay will be next seen in ‘Shamshera’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor. He will also feature in Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj , which is being directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The film also stars Manushi Chhillar , Ashutosh Rana , and Sonu Sood in pivotal roles. Besides these films, the actor also has a Kannada film titled KGF 2 .
