TMKOC actress Palak Sindhwani clears the air over allegations raised by the makers

It’s a bit ironic that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which happens to be one of the longest running shows on the telly land, also happens to be the show which has of late been in the news for not so good reasons. The latest on this show is that, Palak Sindhwani, who plays the role of Sonu has now joined the list of actors who have quit the show. While on one hand, there was news about the young actress quitting the show, on the other hand, there was also some breach of agreement which had happened between her and the show’s makers.

An extremely disappointed Palak, then, issued a note to the media personnel, in which she had spoken about her side of the entire story. While denying all the allegations, she emphasized that there was breach of agreement which had occurred. The said media note stated that the actress had communicated her intention to leave (the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah) in advance on 8th August, 2024 due to ongoing health and personal issues.

The note mentioned that, in this regard, Palak had even met the show’s producer to discuss this, wherein she had expressed her readiness to serve a realistic notice period and that, it was only after many requests, that, Palak had received her contract copy, which was dated as 19th September 2024 for the first time.

The media note also mentioned that, despite all the efforts put in by Palak in order to quit the show cordially, there was also a mention of her facing unfair treatment from the production team. This unfair treatment which was mentioned in the media note, included emotional blackmail as well as threats of consequences for her decision (of quitting the show).

Towards the end, the media note also stated that, it was only after Palak Sindhwani expressed her desire to quit the show, its producers started creating false stories and narratives in order to harass her. Besides all this, it was also stated that Palak had informed that the producers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah had failed to settle her previous pending dues.
