Tiger Shroff says Hollywood is his 'eventual goal', reveals he failed in couple of auditions in West
Tiger Shroff also revealed that he had auditioned for a few films in the West but failed to get any offers.
Unlike his other contemporaries, actor Tiger Shroff has created a niche as an action hero in Bollywood. His ability to do high-octane action sequences and impeccable dancing skills makes him an apt choice for an international action hero. After impressing Indian audiences, he was suggested by sister Krishna Shroff to try his luck in Hollywood. Now, reacting to it, the actor revealed that going to the West is his eventual goal.
Tiger is currently gearing up for Heropanti 2 release which is slated to hit theatres on April 29. Much ahead of the release, the actor unveiled the second trailer of his much-anticipated action drama. To which Krishna commented, “Time to get your a** to Hollywood, brother.” Now, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama , Tiger shared his thought on the same.
"I mean, she's my sister so I mean that is my eventual goal. You know, there is a void in terms of a young action hero in the West. Tom Cruise perhaps Jackie Chan, there isn't an action hero perhaps of my age group, and maybe the kind of things I do, we used to see that perhaps in the 90s or early & late 90s, ever since then, it's been a while since you have seen somebody with that skill set, portraying action or the kind of action I do at least unless it's Spider-Man or something.” he said.
Further, he revealed that he had auditioned for a few films in the West but failed to get any offers. However, he said he is still trying. “But that is my goal eventually to sort of getting into that space and try my luck in the West. So I have been offered a couple of times. I have auditioned and failed a couple of times in auditions, but I am still trying. So let's see," he added.
Meanwhile, Heropanti 2, a sequel to Tiger’s debut film Heropanti, is helmed by Ahmed Khan and backed by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film sees him sharing the screen space with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tara Sutaria .
