Tiger Shroff almost got the role of Spider-Man with THIS unique pitch; says ‘I was quite close’
Hindi film industry’s hunk Tiger Shroff has revealed that he auditioned for the role of Spider-Man. The makers were quite impressed with the video tapes he had sent.
Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff is undoubtedly one of the most popular and beloved star kids of the industry. What sets him apart from the others of his generation is the fact that he’s multi talented. Not only does he have impressive acting skills, but is a supremely graceful dancer and is also a gifted singer! On top of all this, he is also a trained gymnast, a fitness freak and reportedly practices martial arts for six or seven hours regularly, which helps him do most of his stunts in films himself.
Well, did you know Tiger was very close to becoming Spider-Man ? During a recent chat with Connect FM, the handsome hunk revealed that he had a unique pitch which impressed the makers and almost helped him bag the role. Tiger shared, “I had auditioned for Spider-Man, I had sent them my tapes, and they were quite impressed. My pitch to them was that I’d save you a lot of money on your VFX because I can do most of what Spider-Man can do. I was quite close to being a part of that.”
Oh wow! Imagine how cool it would have been if Spider Man was played by an Indian actor. Tiger surely is a great fit for the role. Back in 2016, the actor did portray the character of a superhero in his film A Flying Jatt. The movie followed the story of a martial arts teacher who gained superpowers thanks to a divine tree. Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Amrita Singh and Kay Kay Menon, the Remo D'Souza directorial sadly failed to impress the audience as well as critics.
Well, we hope to see Tiger as a superhero once again some day!
