Although the makers had wrapped significant portions of the film, one song featuring leading lady Trisha Krishnan was still pending. In a recent development, the makers began rolling for the song sequence, and Trisha shared an exciting update about the shoot.

Earlier, the makers completed the overall talkie portion of the film, sharing a wrap-up video from the set. The music for the film is composed by Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman. Sharing a new Instagram story, Trisha revealed that she has resumed shooting for the film and teased her fans with an image of a shell-shaped lamp from the set. The actress wrote, "A Mani Ratnam film. An ARR musical. And T’s fav song from this masterpiece #ThugLife."
Touted to be a Sufi song, the track is rumored to be a romantic track that will feature Trisha and Silambarasan.
With Kamal Haasan’s birthday coming up on November 7, more exciting updates regarding the release date and teaser of the film are expected to be announced.

According to reports, the digital rights for Thug Life have been sold in a landmark OTT deal. The streaming platform has reportedly acquired the film’s digital rights for a whopping Rs 149.7 crore, setting a new record as the highest OTT sale for a Tamil film. While the platform involved remains unconfirmed, fans are eagerly awaiting to experience this visual spectacle, brought to life by two iconic artists of Tamil cinema.
