The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 to be launched on September 21? Here’s what we know

Kapil Sharma is one of the very few comic actors who have been able to take the giant leap towards seamless success. After having done numerous comic acts and even participated in reality shows, Kapil Sharma anchored himself and became a name to reckon with, courtesy Comedy Nights With Kapil. This was followed by a couple of other seasons of the same show with a bit of change in the show’s name. Only recently, Kapil Sharma moved on from Colors to Netflix with the show The Great Indian Kapil Show.

The show was definitely one of the most eagerly awaited ones on the comic space as it saw the (much needed) reunion of Kapil Sharma with Sunil Grover, after they had the infamous fallout. Even though The Great Indian Kapil Show started off with a bang, eventually, it garnered mixed response from the audiences. After having got mixed response to the first season, the makers of the show wrapped it up, with a promise to come back with the next season.

The latest update on the show is that, it is now all set to be back with its second season. As per a latest (source based) report in India Today, the much awaited second season of the show will start on September 21. The same report added that, the second season of The Great Indian Kapil Show will be seen retaining the same format of the show and also with a few added elements.

For the unversed, besides Kapil Sharma, The Great Indian Kapil Show saw the presence of Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek and Rajiv Thakur in prominent roles. Amongst all this, one did miss the presence of Sumona Chakravarti, who can now be seen as a participant in the Rohit Shetty hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi 14.
