The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2: Kapil Sharma to return with double the fun on Netflix soon!

After it was recently reported that Kapil Sharma’s comedy show The Great Indian Kapil Show will be returning on Netflix with another season, the makers of the show recently made the news official by releasing a video announcement on social media. The video revealed that the latest episodes of The Great Indian Kapil Show will be releasing every Saturday to make your ‘shanivar-funnyvaar.’

The makers of The Great Indian Kapil Show shared the video on the official Instagram handle of Netflix India and captioned it, “Ab shanivaar hoga “Funnyvaar” ‘cuz Kapil and gang are coming with double fun and hassi iss baar. Season 2 coming soon! Stay tuned.”

The video message begins with actress Archana Puran Singh saying that there is good news for all the viewers - that everybody’s favourite show, The Great Indian Kapil Show is returning on Netflix with another season. The video ends with comedian Kiku Sharda saying, “Toh ab har shanivar banega  funnyvaar with your favourite parivaar.” However, the announcement did not reveal the release date of the second season.

According to a report by India Today, The Great Indian Kapil Show season 2 will be making its world premiere on Netflix on September 21, with new episodes releasing every Saturday. The source also revealed that the cast of The Great Indian Kapil Show season 2 have shot an episode with the members of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives - Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Kothari and Seema Sajdeh. After taking a short Raksha Bandhan break, the cast of the comedy show will begin shooting for the latest episodes soon.

“The format of The Great Indian Kapil Show will be the same and even the airport setting. However, the team has also planned a few new elements to add to the un of the show,” the source added.

The Great Indian Kapil Show season 2 will feature comedians including Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda and Rajiv Thakur. The first season of the show featured Bollywood stars such as Ranbir Kapoor with his mother Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni; and also Kiara Advani, Kartik Aaryan, Diljit Dosanjh, Bobby and Sunny Deol, among others.
