The Great Indian Kapil Show S2: Karan Johar 'confesses' that Alia Bhatt is his 'first daughter'! Watch

After having upped the levels of excitement with the first promo of the upcoming The Great Indian Kapil Show, the makers are now back with the second promo, which reveals that the first guests on the show will be Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, who have come to promote their upcoming film Jigra.

The said promo starts off with Kapil Sharma asking Karan Johar as to what he sees in Alia… as in what does he consider Alia as from the given options of a friend, a daughter or a foofi (aunt)! The very moment Alia hears the term ‘foofi’, she bursts out laughing. But, when it comes to Alia Bhatt, we all know that Karan Johar shares an extremely cordial and father-like relation with her.

And that is exactly what he replied to Kapil that Alia is his first daughter! Saying that, he kisses an affectionate kiss on her forehead. This is followed by Alia Bhatt showing off her special talent (you need to see the episode to know what it is!).

Karan Johar, in the same breath, tells (read ‘confesses’) to Kapil Sharma that, even though he has been instrumental in helping many people progress in their relationships, the fact remains that he is still single! At this, Kapil Sharma in his trademark style told Karan that a sweet shop owner does not eat his own sweets!

The episode promo then shifts to the powerhouse performer Kiku Sharda, who looks absolutely ‘stunning’ in the attire of Gangubai Kathiawadi (of which Alia Bhatt was the leading lady in the titular role). Kiku asks Alia Bhatt as to why she hit him. And in a typical Gully Boy style, Alia Bhatt recites the iconic dialogue of ‘Mere boyfriend ke saath gulu gulu karegi toh dhoptungi naa usko’. The promo then takes us to the various segments on the show including dumb charades which Alia Bhatt plays with her Jigra co-star Vedang Raina.

This is then, followed by Alia Bhatt making a grand revelation that, Karan Johar has some sort of sixth sense in him, while she recalled the start of her ‘friendly’ love story with Ranbir Kapoor. Post this, Karan Johar makes a very candid confession that he is added to two WhatsApp groups of all the mothers.

He then made a sweeping statement stating that, when the mothers wish each other Good Morning Ladies’ in the group, he needs to remind them that even he is there! The first episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show season 2 will be streamed on Funnyvaar aka Shanivar (Saturday), 8 pm, only on Netflix.
