The Buckingham Murders trailer out: Kareena Kapoor goes all out to solve murder mystery in Hansal Mehta's crime drama

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to get into the character of a detective and investigate the murder of a young child in her upcoming film The Buckingham Murders. The makers released the much-awaited trailer today, September 3. Kareena will be seen essaying the role of a British-Indian detective named Jasmeet Bamra, who leaves no stone unturned to solve a murder mystery.

The makers released the trailer on social media and wrote, “Miliye Detective Sergeant Jasmeet Bhamra se! Ab aayega har ek sach baahar. #TheBuckinghamMurdersTeaser Out Now. #TheBuckinghamMurders Only in cinemas on 13th September.”

The trailer begins with Kareena's character Jasmeet Bambra questioning people who are suspects in the murder of a 10-year-old child. The story unfolds after she begins the investigation. The consequences of the investigation and the arrest of a Muslim teenage boy in the murder of a Sikh child leads to communal tensions and protests in the city. After Detective Jass confronts Ishpreet’s family, it is revealed that the child was adopted from Sangroor, Punjab, hinting that there are more secrets to unveil about the family.

Bebo goes into the depth of the investigations and her team suspects everybody related to the child. She questions everybody in the neighborhood and the only question persists, “Where were you on November 14?”

The trailer also shows that Kareena's character Jasmeet is going through an internal conflict, making her disillusioned.

The film is directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Kareena. The Buckingham Murders will be released in theatres on September 13, 2024. The film also stars Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. Interestingly, it premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in 2023.
