Thalapathy Vijay wishes Superstar Rajinikanth a speedy recovery, says ‘will return home soon in...’

    Thalapathy Vijay took to his social media pages to wish a speedy recovery to Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who was admitted to the hospital for a non-surgical procedure.

    While Thalapathy Vijay fans and Superstar Rajinikanth fans have often clashed, the rivalry between the fanbases has never affected the relationship between the stars. Recently, actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay took to his social media pages to wish a speedy recovery to Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who was admitted to the hospital for a non-surgical procedure.

    Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam leader and actor Vijay took to his official political party page and penned a heartfelt note, wishing Rajinikanth a quick recovery, and said that he prays to the Almighty for the actor’s health. Vijay wrote, "I sincerely pray to God that Superstar Mr. Rajinikanth, who has been admitted to the hospital and is recovering, will return home soon in full health."

    Rajinikanth is reported to be in stable condition after being admitted to a private hospital in Chennai and is expected to be discharged in two days. The hospital released a statement confirming that a non-surgical procedure was performed to treat the swelling in the superstar’s aorta. The Superstar was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, on September 30. The hospital statement read, "He had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart (aorta), which was treated by a non-surgical, transcatheter method. Senior Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish placed a stent in the aorta, completely sealing off the swelling (Endovascular Repair). We would like to inform his well-wishers and fans that the procedure went as planned. Mr. Rajinikanth is stable and doing well. He should be home in two days."

    On the work front, Rajinikanth is eagerly awaiting the release of his highly anticipated cop drama Vettaiyan. Directed by Jai Bhim-fame filmmaker TJ Gnanavel, the film boasts a star-studded cast, including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and GM Sundar. According to reports, Rajinikanth will play an encounter specialist, while Rana Daggubati will take on the role of the antagonist. Besides Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth also has Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial Coolie in the pipeline.

    Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay is gearing up for the final film of his career—Thalapathy 69, directed by H Vinoth. Currently in pre-production, the makers recently onboarded Bollywood actor Bobby Deol as the antagonist opposite Thalapathy Vijay.
