Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay extended his wishes to his political compatriots Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu following their thumping victory in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.

Vijay praised Pawan Kalyan for making his relatively new party, Jana Sena, the second-largest party in Andhra Pradesh. "Congratulations to @PawanKalyan garu on your formidable victory and for the emergence of @JanaSenaParty as the second largest in the assembly elections. Your endurance and dedication to serve the people of AP has been commendable. Best wishes," said Vijay.

Vijay also aspires to make a similar impact on Tamil Nadu politics with his newly launched Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. The superstar earlier this year sent shock waves across the country by launching a political outfit.

Tamil actors seeking a career in politics is not a strange event. However, Vijay's decision to quit acting in movies completely to dedicate all his time to his political aspirations caught everyone by surprise. Especially considering the fact that Vijay is one of the highest-paid actors in the Indian film industry, with his previous movie Leo earning more than Rs 600 crore just from ticket sales.

Vijay's bold decision to leave behind his hard-earned stardom for a new career sparked quite a debate in both political and film circles.

Vijay has also shared his wishes to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, in the capacity of the president of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. "Congratulations to Shri @ncbn garu and @JaiTDP for the decisive victory in the assembly elections to lead #AndhraPradesh Wishing the people of AP great progress under your visionary leadership," he added.

On the career front, Vijay is now busy shooting for his upcoming movie The Greatest of All Time. Following this, he will join the sets of Thalapathy 69, which is believed to be his last movie before he quits cinema for good.
