Teary-eyed Malaika Arora, mom Joyce and Arhaan Khan leave for her father Anil Mehta’s last rites | Watch

The news about the sudden passing away of Malaika Arora’s father Anil Kuldip Mehta has really shocked everyone. Even though the exact cause of the death has not been confirmed by the police personnel, there were media reports which stated that, prima facie, it looked like a death by suicide. The latest update is that, an extremely teary-eyed Malaika Arora, her mother Joyce and her son Arhaan Khan have now left for her father Anil Mehta’s last rites.

Even though the details of the post mortem were not disclosed to the media till now, there was a source-based news report in News 18, which stated conducted that, the required procedures were conducted around 8 pm yesterday and that, ‘multiple injuries’ had been cited as the cause of death of Anil Kuldip Mehta. The official announcement or update about the post mortem, is however, been awaited whilst the police personnel are through investigating the said case and are looking for every possible angle which could have led to the death of Anil Kuldip Mehta.

Meanwhile, Malaika Arora, yesterday night, had taken to social media and posted an extremely heartfelt note in the loving memory of her father Anil Mehta. She posted an extremely heartfelt photograph of her father and posted, ‘We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect’.

Meanwhile, there was also another news report in the media circles which stated that Malaika's mother Joyce, on her part, had given her statement to the police. And, in her statement to the police, she had (reportedly) mentioned that, ‘Anil would routinely sit in the balcony and used to read the newspapers every morning. She also (reportedly) told the police that while they had been divorced, they had started living together again since the past few years’.
