'Taking revenge for Jhandeya and Tommy' : Netizens react to Alia Bhatt being mistaken for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at MET Gala 2023

Alia Bhatt made her much-awaited debut at the MET Gala 2023 in a Prabal Gurung designed pristine pearl-studded white gown. Now, a video has been going viral wherein the paparazzi at the occasion can be heard mistaking Alia for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. No sooner did the video go viral than netizens had a roll with their varied reactions.

Talking about the same, Alia can be seen posing for the shutterbugs along with her designer Prabal Gurung. We then hear one of the paparazzi shout out, “Aishwarya this way.” Nevertheless, the Student Of The Year actress continues to pose graciously for the paparazzi. Take a look at the video.

The netizens soon had a riot while reacting to the same with a majority of the call backs going to the Indian paparazzi calling funny names to Tom Holland, Zendaya and Gigi Hadid at the NMACC event. One of the netizens stated, “They are taking revenge for Jhandeya and Tommy” while another user said, “American paps taking their “yeh shakira hai kya” revenge.” While another netizen said, “Jhandeya ikde ikde ka badla le rhe hain.” While another user commented on Prabal Gurung writing, “Poor Prabal is struggling between posing for himself and helping Alia with her dress. It's unintentionally funny.” Taking a subtle dig at Alia Bhatt, a netizen said, “Sucha disrespect to Aishwarya.” While another user added, “Except Aishwarya is actually beautiful elegant and regal and not a nepo dud.” A netizen furthermore took a jibe at Alia saying, “Well damn, this really was a reality check for Alia. Hollywood really don't know of her existence.” While another user said, “For once she is out of her (Karan's) territory and oh boy! Is she lost. I'm loving this in some crooked ways. Finally.”

There were also some netizens who further alleged that Alia Bhatt was trying to copy the likes of Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. Meanwhile, Alia will also be making her Hollywood debut with the Netflix film Heart Of Stone. The film also stars Gal Gadot and Jaime Dornan in the lead roles.
