After the mind-blowing match which was played between Team India and South Africa, our men in blue won the match in style and how! Those who have seen the historic match will recall that this was one of the most historic matches ever played in the history of T 20 matches.
After the time Team India was declared as the ultimate winner, needless to say, everyone was in a state of ultimate happiness and were reeling with a sense of achievement. All in all, the India win was just personal for every Indian, irrespective of whichever part of the globe he/ she was in. Besides the common man, many of the Bollywood celebs too were reeling with uncontrollable excitement after Team India registered a thumping victory against South Africa.
Many Bollywood celebs took to social media and shared their excitement. Bollywood’s ‘Shahenshaah’ Amitabh Bachchan took to social media and wrote, “World Champion. Tears flowing down .. in unison with those that TEAM INDIA sheds .. WORLD CHAMPIONS INDIA. Long live Mother India. Jai Hind Jai Hind Jai Hind.”
On the other hand, there was Salman Khan who took to social media and shared an epic pic of Team India and captioned it as, ‘Champions’. There was the hunky Sidharth Malhotra, who also expressed his joy by posting, ‘What a performance, #TeamIndia! @ImRo45 ‘s leadership, @imVkohli’s firepower, and @Jaspritbumrah93’s magic spells made this win epic! On one hand, there was Preity Zinta who wrote, ‘Yeahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Oh India! WE WON! #T20IWorldCup #2024 Ting! Ting! Ting !!!’, on the other hand, there was Neha Dhupia who posted, ‘The champions of the world … congratulations #TeamIndia and thank you for the chills and the thrills … what a team , what a game and what a feeling!!!! #T20WC2024’.
Amongst everyone else, there was Anushka Sharma who took to social media and posted, ‘AND ….. I love this man @virat.kohli . So grateful to call you my home - now go have a glass of sparkling water for me to celebrate this’.
Anushka Sharma also expressed a concern about their daughter Vamika. She wrote, ‘Our daughter’s biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on tv….. Yes, My darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people What a phenomenal victory and what a legendary achievement!! CHAMPIONS - CONGRATULATIONS!!’.
