Swara Bhasker sings her heart out on daughter Raabiyaa Rama Ahmad’s Chhathhi ceremony; calls latter a ‘mish mash’
Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad celebrate daughter Raabiyaa Rama Ahmad’s Chhathhi with loved ones
Earlier this year, Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker got married to her longtime boyfriend and social activist Fahad Ahmad. Their real life fairytale began an exciting new chapter last month when the madly in love couple welcomed their first child into the world. On 23rd September, Swara and Fahad were blessed with a baby girl. They named their precious daughter Raabiyaa Rama Ahmad and shared the good news with fans along with unseen snaps from the hospital. Well, last night Swara and Fahad celebrated the arrival of their daughter with loved ones.
Sharing a sneak peek of the same on social media, the Veere Di Wedding actress wrote: “The child is a mish mash of the mish mash we are.. So she’s 62.5% UP.. 12.5% Bihar.. 25% Andhra.. And I’m all for representation and I’m always here for celebration! :) Moreover since our wedding, we’ve been discovering common cultural practices that both Hindus and Muslims in North India share which reinforces my belief that human beings can come from all manner of diversity but love and joy will find a common language!”
Along with the video, which features Swara singing her heart out with joy, the actress shared, “Chhathhi or the 6th day of the child’s birth is celebrated across UP BIhar where the mom & child are dressed in the colour of Haldi / turmeric and the aunts /bua puts kaajal on the child and mom and dad to protect the child and family from ‘nazar’ or the evil eye! 🧿♥️✨.” The ‘sohar’ which Swara is singing is traditionally crooned for a newborn baby boy. But the actress tailored it for her little angel. The new mommy looks at peace and beyond happy, and seeing her enjoy this phase of life is heartwarming.
We wish Swara, Fahad and baby Raabiyaa all the love!
