Sushmita Sen stuns in bandhani saree as she performs Dhunuchi dance, netizens react

Former Miss Universe and actress Sushmita Sen on Saturday spread Durga Puja cheer as she performed the Dhunuchi dance at a pandal. She arrived in her traditional best outfit, a Bandhani saree which she styled with a ponytail and dangler earrings. Her daughters Alisah and Renee accompanied her to the pandal. While fans praised her beautiful dance, some of the netizens left harsh comments on her face, comparing her to drama queen Rakhi Sawant.

In the video shared by Instant Bollywood, Sushmita could also be seen happily interacting with the media. “Ye meri maa hai. This is like, kuch log kehte hai na ki humari kuldevi ka naam Durga hai. Ye meri maa ka naam hai. Durga puja mere liye ek bahot his impirtant time hai. Jab bhi main yaha aati hu, mujhe lagta hai maa ghar aayi hai, aur mai celebrate kar rahi unke saath.”

Reacting to the clip, one of the users wrote, “Why she's looking like Rakhi Sawant?” the second user commented, “Aish spoiled her face now Sush.” “What did she do to her lips? Why? She was so beautiful !!! Don’t understand.. she does look like Rakhi Sawant now….,” reacted the third user. “Can't make out of she is Rakhi Sawant or Sushmita Sen,” said another user. “Love her but she's looking so botoxed,” read a comment.

Meanwhile, Sushmita was recently seen in Taali, in which she impressed the audience with her portrayal of transgender. She stepped into the shoes of transgender activist Gauri Sawant for a series directed by Ravi Jadhav. Up next, the actress is all geared up for her upcoming third season of the Emmy-nominated web series Aarya. In the third part, she is set to take over her father’s opium empire after his death and is now the new Don in town. The series is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from November 3, 2023.
