Kollywood’s beloved star Suriya is all set to make a roaring comeback to the big screen with the release of his highly anticipated fantasy period action drama Kanguva this Children's Day. The Tamil actor, who has been tirelessly promoting the film across India, recently spoke about Thala Ajith Kumar’s opinion on working with Siruthai Siva, the director of Kanguva.

In a candid chat with Pinkvilla, Suriya revealed that he had recently met Ajith, who had nothing but good things to say about Siva. For the unversed, Ajith and Siva have famously collaborated on four films—Veeram (2014), Vedalam (2015), Vivegam (2017), and Viswasam (2019). During their meeting, Suriya shared that Ajith praised the director, expressing that Suriya might now understand why the Tamil superstar had worked with Siva four times. Suriya said, "I recently got to meet Ajith sir, and he was like, 'Now do you get why I have worked with him so many times and never miss an opportunity to collaborate with Siva?'"

Suriya further added that Siva has delivered wonderful films with Ajith and described him as a director who loves creating impactful theatrical moments.

    Suriya's dual roles in Kanguva

As revealed earlier, Suriya will be portraying two characters in the film, one of whom is named Francis, a shadow cop and professional bounty hunter from the present period. According to sources, the story follows Francis, who during his mission to fight crime, uncovers a hidden connection to an ancient betrayal. The film promises thrilling action, emotional moments, and a mystery that links events from the past to the present.
