Suriya 44: This Malayalam actor to join forces with Karthik Subbaraj for the second time?

Joju George is all set to reunite with his Jagame Thandhiram director Karthik Subbaraj for his upcoming film Suriya 44. The Malayalam actor has been reportedly roped in to play a pivotal role in the Suriya-starrer. However, an official announcement is awaited. As per reports, the Mollywood actor will join the Karthik Subbaraj film after completing shooting for his portions for Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan's film Thug Life.  

Joju George and Karthik Subbaraj’s sophomore collaboration  

Karthik Subbaraj is all set to team up with Joju George after their successful collaboration in Dhanush-starrer Jagame Thandhiram, according to reports. The actor-director duo is all set to team up for Suriya’s next film, and fans are left wondering what role Joju will be essaying this time. For the unversed, the Mollywood actor played the main antagonist in the Dhanush-starrer, hence, chances are that he might be back to playing a negative character in this upcoming film too! Or will he play Suriya's confidant?

Suriya 44

Helmed by celebrated director Karthik Subbaraj, Suriya 44 is Karthik’s maiden collaboration with Suriya after his 2023 blockbuster Jigarthanda DoubleX. Suriya 44 will be co-produced under Suriya's home banner 2D Entertainment and Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films. While announcing the film, the makers had earlier unveiled the first-look poster, which featured an arrow piercing the bark of a tree, with flames seen in the background along with the silhouette of a car. The tagline under the poster read, ‘#Love Laughter War’, hinting that the film might be an action-packed romantic comedy. Other vital details about the cast and crew of the project will be unveiled soon.

Joju George’s exciting Kollywood lineup

It seems like the Porinju Mariam Jose actor is having quite an exciting year in Kollywood. The Malayalam actor, whose last Tamil outing was with Vaibhav-starrer Buffoon, is all set to rock this year with Mani Ratnam’s ambitious project Thug Life which has Kamal Haasan as the leading man. Now with Karthik Subbaraj’s Suriya 44, the actor seems to be a favourite pick among Tamil filmmakers.
