Suraj Venjaramoodu teams up with Ayisha-fame director Aamir Pallikkal; check out puja pics

Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu is all set to play the lead in director Aamir Pallikkal’s next. The Malayalam director who made his directorial debut with Manju Warrier-starrer biographical film Ayisha, is all set to helm his next project with the Malayalam actor-comedian.

Produced by Listin Stephen under Magic Frames and Suraj Venjaramoodu in their joint venture, the film has been tentatively titled Production 31. The filming of the upcoming movie commenced at Mookambika Temple on May 26. The makers began the film with a puja ceremony and the pics from the sets were shared on their social media handles. Senior actress Vinaya Prasad and Grace Antony were also present on the sets, indicating that the actresses will be playing pivotal roles in the film. Besides them, actor Shyam Mohan of Premalu fame and Sudheer Karamana were also present at the sets.

On the technical front, the film has a screenplay penned by Ashif Kakkodi. The camera work is handled by Sharon Sreenivas, while Sreejith Sarang serves as the editor. Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil-fame music composer Ankit Menon will be composing the original soundtracks and background music for the film.  

Other details about the film’s genre and story are expected to be unveiled soon.

Suraj Venjaramoodu’s other projects

Meanwhile, the National-award winning actor is gearing up for the release of his film Grrr, starring Kunchacko Boban and himself in the lead. The movie is directed by Ezra fame director Jay K, and is scheduled to hit the big screens on June 14. He will also be starring in the upcoming projects such as Biju Menon-starrer Nadanna Sambhavam and Dileep-starrer Professor Dinkan 3D. He will also be seen in Asif Ali-starrer Adios Amigo, which is directed by debutant Nahas Nazar. Suraj will also be making his OTT debut with the upcoming web series titled Nagendran's Honeymoons.  

The actor was last seen in Sudheesh Gopinath’s satirical drama Madanolsavam, which was released in 2023.
