Stree 2: Varun Dhawan to make a cameo in Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-starrer? Watch

The buzz for Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming film Stree 2 has been increasing ever since the makers unveiled the release date of the film to be August 15. Now, a week before the film’s release, actor Varun Dhawan has shared a video of himself with Shraddha’s character in Stree 2, revealing his cameo appearance in the film.

Taking to Instagram, Varun shared a clip from Stree 2’s song Khoobsurat, featuring Varun and Shraddha, and confirmed his cameo appearance in the film. In the caption, Varun revealed that his character from his 2022 film Bhediya will have a crossover with Stree 2.

He captioned the post, “Iss Stree ki khoobsurti ka kaun hai yeh naya aashiq? #Khoobsurat Song Out Tomorrow! #Stree2, the legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August. The video begins with a voiceover from Shraddha that says, “Kuch kahaniyo ko samjha nahi jata, sirf mehsoos kiya jata hai (Some stories are not meant to be understood rather are made to be felt)” while the actress is standing in a balcony, dressed up in a red saree, with loose hair and kohl-rimmed eyes. Later, the song begins playing in the background and Varun enters the scene and pulls Shraddha close to him.

Bhediya and Stree 2 crossover

For those unaware, Stree 2 is a part of Maddock’s horror comedy universe which also produced Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon-starrer Bhediya that released in 2022. Stree 2 is expected to be the link between all the horror comedy films of Maddock and also set up the timeline for the future. Another horror comedy produced by Maddock is Munjya which became a blockbuster hit at the box office.

Stree, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, released in 2018. The film tells the tale of a local town that is haunted by a spirit named Stree who hunts down men. Its sequel Stree 2 will release on August 15.
