Stree 2 Box Office Day 5: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor continues its unstoppable dream run, collects Rs. 228.45 crores

The Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 is proving to be unstoppable at the box office. What started off as a film, has now become a tornado of the box office. With each passing day, the box office collections of the film are only increasing and how! Adding to the good fortunes of the film, it got its blessings in the form of two major holidays in the form of Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan.

As for the box office collections, the film is still going strong even in its fifth day. As per the industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected Rs. 37 crores on its fifth day. With this, the total collection of the film now stands at Rs. 228.45 crores.

While on one hand, the Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 has been breaking many records now, on the other hand, it has also emerged as the highest grossing Hindi film of 2024. During this journey, the film has managed to beat the Hrithik Roshan Fighter and also the Prabhas-Amitabh Bachchan’s multi starrer Kalki 2898 AD in becoming the film with the highest opening weekend this year.

Speaking about Fighter, Stree 2 has now surpassed the lifetime collection of the film. As for the film, besides playing on a horror plot, the film also has equal doses of comedy, which is being liked immensely by the audiences.

While on one hand Stree 2 is emerging as the unstoppable blockbuster, on the other hand, the other two films which were released along with it, are comparatively struggling at the box office. These two films are in the form of Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu starrer Khel Khel Mein and the John Abraham and Sharvari starrer Vedaa.

As for the box office collections of Khel Khel Mein, reports state that the film stands at an estimated Rs. 16. 05 crores till now. And, as for Vedaa, it has, till now, collected an estimated Rs. 15. 5 crores at the box office (India nett).
