Stree 2 Box Office collection day 19: Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor starrer surpasses Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal; collects Rs. 700 crores worldwide!

There is no stopping the Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 at the box office. Right from the time the film got released, it had been making news and for all the right reasons. Even though the film has clocked three weeks of its release, it is showing no absolutely no signs of slowing down. With each passing day and week, the film is only becoming stronger and stronger as far as the box office collections are concerned.

The latest update on the film is that it has now overtaken the lifetime collections of the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer smash hit film Animal. As per the most reliable industry tracker Sacnilk, the Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 has now pocketed a cool Rs. 6.5 crores yesterday (Monday, September 2).

Besides the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer smash hit film Animal, the Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 has now collected a whopping estimated at Rs. 508 crores. And on the global level, the film has already collected Rs. 700 crores. In other words, it only means that the film, by now, has become the second-highest grosser of the year. And the film that is sitting pretty at the top with its box office collections over Rs 1000 crores is none other than the Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD.

Trade pundits feel that, with no major release ahead of the Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2, except for Kareena Kapoor starrer The Buckingham Murders and also the Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer Yudhra, it is bound to show immense growth even in the days to come.

Speaking about trade pundits, it's also being said that, considering the speed and the momentum with which Stree 2 has been setting the box office collections on fire, it will easily surpass the all-language collections of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan and the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal as well.
