Stree 2 Box Office collection day 17: Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer collects Rs. 480.25 crore; unstoppable even in its third weekend!

As we had rightly said initially, ‘Stree came, Stree saw, Stree conquered’! The Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 has now become totally unstoppable at the box office. The fire which was set by the film at the box office has now turned (read ‘transformed’) into a volcano!

Even at the end of the third week, where many films land up losing its momentum, the Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. At the end of the third week, the film Stree 2 has managed to surprise many by collecting an impressive Rs. 17.40 crore. What has put many in a quandary is that, while the film landed up collecting Rs. 17.40 crore on its seventeenth day, it had collected Rs. 9.25 crore on its sixteenth day!

With this, the box office collections of Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 stands at Rs. 480.25 crore. Trade pundits predict that, given the pace with which the film Stree 2 has been proceeding from its first day, this weekend (the third weekend) should see the film surpassing the magical Rs 500 crore-mark. Many feel that, keeping in mind the pace of the film, the film has the potential and the capability to surpass the Rs. 750 crores as well!

Considering that the film Stree 2 will be surpassing the Rs. 500 crore mark this weekend, will only mean that the film must have overtaken the records set by many of the ‘big daddies’ of Bollywood. Speaking about Stree 2, it was released along with other two films viz., Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu starrer Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham and Sharvari starrer Vedaa.

And all the three films were released on August 15, which happens to be Independence Day. While Stree 2 managed to pique itself ahead of the race, the other two films (Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein) are performing relatively slower than expected at the box office.
