Following the release of Soori’s latest film Garudan, the movie has been receiving overwhelming responses from audiences and critics alike, who have been praising the actor for delivering yet another hit post Viduthalai Part 1. In response to the positive reception the film has been receiving, actor Soori took to his social media handles to share a heartfelt video expressing his gratitude. “I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support and love that has made Garudan a blockbuster hit. Thank you to everyone, especially the press, media, fans, and audience for making this release week an unforgettable milestone in my life. Your unwavering support means the world to us,” the actor said.
Soori expresses his gratitude to Vetrimaaran
Earlier, at the trailer launch of the film, leading man Soori expressed his gratitude to director Vetrimaaran for giving him his first lead role in the 2023 blockbuster film Viduthalai. “I owe a lot to Vetrimaaran sir. He is the reason behind all the claps, whistles, and appreciations showered upon me. My career and life will now be divided into before and after Viduthalai,” the actor said. The film marks the second collaboration between the director-actor duo.

Headlined by Soori, this action drama is directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar and revolves around two childhood friends and their confidant, played by Soori. Besides Soori, Unni Mukundan, and Sasikumar, Garudan also stars Sshivada, Revathi Sharma, Roshini Haripriyan, Samuthirakani, Motta Rajendran, and Mime Gopi in key roles. On the technical front, the film's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with Arthur A. Wilson handling cinematography and Pradeep E. Ragav handling the edits. G. Durairaj is the film's art director. The film marks yet another collaboration between Soori and director Vetrimaaran after Viduthalai, who has produced the film under his home banner Grassroot Film Company.
