Sonam Kapoor to begin shooting for her next project in 2025? Here’s all you need to know

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor will be returning to acting with her upcoming project. Speaking about shooting her first project post-pregnancy, Sonam said that she loves living so many interesting characters through her profession. The actress was last seen in Blind, directed by Shome Makhija. 

Sonam Kapoor to start shooting for next film

Speaking about her upcoming acting project, Sonam revealed that she will begin shooting for her first project post pregnancy early next year which will release on a global platform. The actress did not reveal the project’s title, or the cast and crew associated with the project. 

Talking about shooting post-pregnancy, the actress said that she is excited to face the camera again post her pregnancy. She added that she loves being an actor and loves living many interesting characters through her profession. Sonam said, “Human beings fascinate me and I love playing varied roles. I’m looking forward to my next.” 

Speaking further about the project, the actress said that she will begin shooting for the project next year and other details are getting locked hence she cannot make any announcements as yet. “It’s a big project. That’s all I can say right now,” Sonam added. 

Sonam’s acting projects

Sonam was last seen in a thriller drama film titled Blind. Released in 2023, the film is directed by Shome Makhija. Sonam plays the role of a blind girl named Gia who becomes witness to a crime. After making her debut with Saawariya, Sonam starred in films like Delhi-6, I Hate Luv Storys, Mausam, Bewakoofiyaan, among others. Her most popular films include Aisha, Raanjhanaa, Khoobsurat, Neerja and Veere Di Wedding among others. 

Sonam took a break from acting after the arrival of her first child, Vayu Ahuja in 2022. The actress moved to London after Vayu’s birth to live with her businessman husband Anand Ahuja and has been navigating her life between London and Mumbai since then. Sonam tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Anand Ahuja in a lavish wedding ceremony in 2018.
