Sonam Kapoor gets ready for Karwa Chauth while holding son Vayu in her arms; reveals why she never fasted for Anand

Ever since she became a mother, actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has been spending every minute of her time with her newborn son Vayu. But yesterday she took a break from mommy duties to celebrate Karwa Chauth at her parents’ house, where many beauties from the industry gathered together for puja. Sonam shared a cute video of her getting ready for the same a while ago today. The video features her glam squad working on her look, while she sits in the center with Vayu in her arms.

Sonam shared how nice it was for her to get all dressed up and meet people. Much to our delight, the actress also shared a post giving us a good glance at her final Karwa Chauth look. She redefined elegance in a gorgeous ghagra with a kanjeevaram border designed by Gaurang Shah. In the caption below, Sonam revealed why she has never kept a fast for husband Anand Ahuja on Karwa Chauth. The actress wrote: “My Husband isn’t a fan of Karava Chauth as he thinks fasting should only be intermittent 😂 so I’ve never kept it!”

She went on to add, “But both of us are big believers that festivals and traditions are a great reason for family and friends to come together . Back in 2018, after dating for 2 long years, Anand and Sonam tied the nuptial knot in a grand ceremony held in Mumbai. In August this year, they welcomed their son Vayu into their lives.
