The couple took to their social media pages and shared the photographs from their pristine wedding.
As for the wedding, both Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal looked stunning on D-Day. Sonakshi Sinha took to social media and posted the wedding pics and captioned it stating, ‘On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. As for the wedding attire, Sonakshi Sinha mesmerized everyone with the muted pastels which she had adorned for the occasion. Her saree, with its cream and off-white blouse, was complemented by intricate embroidery that added a touch of sophistication. She kept her look elegant with kundan jewellery and tucked white roses in her hair, creating a timeless ensemble.
On the other hand, Zaheer Iqbal looked ‘elegantly dapper’ in his white embroidered kurta. Do not miss the golden watch on the hand of the Sonakshi Sinha’s golden man forever!
Just before the marriage, both Zaheer Iqbal and Sonakshi Sinha were bestowed with many gifts from their well-wishers. While there was the film producer Ramesh Taurani who sent gifts for the bridegroom Zaheer Iqbal, there was Manisha Koirala who sent it for Sonakshi Sinha. Speaking about Manisha Koirala, she could not attend Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding because of her prior commitments. Readers may recall that both, Manisha Koirala and Sonakshi Sinha got rave reviews for their spectacular performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Heeramandi The Diamond Bazaar.
Since its wedding time, how can music and dance be far behind. As per a report in Pinkvilla, it was DJ Ganesh who had been called to play the music at Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding celebration party, and that as many as 1000 guests have been invited for the same. The said party was supposed to be held at Bastian in Mumbai.
Putting a forever full stop to all the ongoing rumours, there was Sonakshi Sinha’s lovely parents in the form of Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha who were seen along with Anu Ranjan, a close friend of the Sinha family. They were seen together as ‘Team Bride’, as they were attending Sonakshi’s puja ceremony, as a part of the pre-wedding celebrations.
As for those who were wondering about the customary ritual that Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal will follow for their marriage, then, it was Iqbal Ratansi (father of Zaheer Iqbal) who told Free Press Journal that the couple will have neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals as it will be a civil marriage as per the Special Marriage Act, 1954.
As for the guests in the wedding, besides others, the one who really stole the show was none other than the famous rapper Honey Singh who had told the media personnel that he was there for the “biggest celebration.” There was also the stunning Aditi Rao Hydari who was accompanied by her husband Siddharth as they graced the wedding together.
