Sonakshi Sinha reveals she misses her parents ‘a lil extra today’, shares unseen pictures from her wedding

Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in a civil marriage on June 23 in Mumbai. Sonakshi has been sharing updates about her married life since then and recently shared a few unseen pictures from her wedding, claiming that she is missing her family a little extra today.

Taking to Instagram, Sonakshi shared a few unseen pictures from her wedding with Zaheer Iqbal, featuring her parents. The first monochrome picture features Sonakshi hugging her mother Poonam Sinha, while her father Shatrughan Sinha can be seen in the background. The second monochrome picture features Sonakshi leaning on her father Shatrughan’s shoulder. The third picture features the mother-daughter duo who are smiling and looking intently at something. The fourth picture showcases Sonakshi hugging both her parents after the marriage registration.

Sonakshi captioned the post, “At the wedding Maa started crying when it hit her i would be moving out of the house, i told her “Maa, dont worry… juhu to bandra only 25 mins” Missing them a lil extra today, so I’m telling myself the exact same thing. Hope theres Sunday sindhi curry made at home…See you soon… zoom zoom zoom.”

For the wedding, Sonakshi repurposed her mother’s 40-year-old ivory coloured saree and paired it with matching pearl and diamond accessories and white rose flowers in her bun. While papa Shatrughan opted for a black bandhgala set for the ceremony, her mother opted for an embroidered blush pink ethnic ensemble, styled with diamond accessories.

Sharing the news of her wedding, Sonakshi shared pictures with her husband Zaheer Iqbal from the ceremony on her social media handle where the two were seen in matching ivory-coloured outfits. She captioned the post, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever. Sonakshi Zaheer. 23.06.2024.”

Earlier, the rumours of Shatrughan not attending Sonakshi’s wedding were quashed after the actor-turned-politician asked, “Why wouldn’t I?”
