Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal disabled comment section on wedding pics for this reason

Ever since the news of Sonakshi Sinha tying the knot with Zaheer Iqbal grabbed attention, the couple has been subject to heavy trolling due to their religious backgrounds. Some people even speculated that Sonakshi’s parents Shatrughan and Poonam might not attend the wedding. Now, the couple has disabled the comment section of their wedding picture to avoid hate and negative comments.

Sonakshi and Zaheer disable comment section

Taking to Instagram, Sonakshi and Zaheer shared pictures of their ivory-themed civil ceremony. But hours later, disabled the post's comment section to avoid negative comments and trolling. They captioned the post, “st, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever. Sonakshi Zaheer. 23.06.2024.”

After the couple disabled comments on their wedding pictures, the trollers have gone on to write negative remarks on their older pictures.

Shatrughan Sinha on Sonakshi’s wedding

Earlier, there were rumours that actor-turned-politician and Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha will not be attending his daughter’s wedding but he quashed those rumours by saying, “Why won’t I?” When he was asked about how he was feeling about his daughter’s wedding, Shatrughan told Time Now, “Yeh bhi koi poochne ki baat hai? Every father waits for this moment when his daughter is given to her chosen groom. My daughter looks most happy with Zaheer. Unki jodi salamat rahe.”

The couple got hitched on June 23 after dating for several years. The civil marriage was held at Sonakshi’s home in Bandra, Mumbai, which was followed by a grand celebration in Bastian, Mumbai. The celebration was attended by Anil Kapoor, Kajol, Richa Chadha, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rekha, and Raveena Tandon, among others.
