Sohail Khan and Seema Khan file for divorce in Mumbai years after being separated

Actor Sohail Khan and his wife Seema Khan are headed for a divorce and were seen arriving today at a family court in Mumbai to file for the same. The estranged couple has been living separately for a while now and looks like they have finally decided to end their marriage after efforts of any reconciliation failed.

Sohail and Seema’s troubled married life famously caught the attention of the Bollywood fans when the two were shown to be living separately on the Netflix show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. Seema lives in an apart right across from Sohail’s home and their son Nirvan was also seen going back in fourth between their homes during a visit from the U.S.

Seema had spoken about her ‘unconventional marriage’ with Sohail on the show as well and while calling him an ‘amazing father’ she had said, “It's just that sometimes when you grow older, your relationships meanders and goes into different directions. I make no apologies about it because we are happy and my kids are happy. Sohail and I are not a conventional marriage but we are a family. We are a unit. For us, him and me and our children matter at the end of the day."

Sohail and Seema had eloped and got married in 1998 after a whirlwind romance and have two kids, Nirvaan and Yohan.

“I was a SOBO girl who got married to this man from Bollywood. We had quite this whirlwind, mad, romantic kind of wedding because I eloped with him in the middle of the night. I met him when I was very young, and I also had Nirvan when I was very young,” Seema had said on the Netflix show looking back at her relationship with Sohail.

A few years ago in 2017, rumours mills were abuzz with Sohail’s marriage hitting the rocks due his alleged affair with Huma Qureshi. However, all parties had rubbished these reports with the actress even calling Sohail her brother in an angry post over these rumours.

However, Sohail and Seema did separate while the reasons for it still remain unknown. Sohail’s brother Salman Khan was also reported to have staged an intervention to help the estranged couple get over their issues but it evidently didn’t help.
