Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya pose with their families in new engagement pictures

South superstar Naga Chaitanya got engaged with actress Sobhita Dhulipala on August 8, 2024. Announcing the news of their engagement, Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna Akkineni shared pictures of the couple from their engagement on his social media. Now, the pictures of the couple with their respective family members are doing the rounds on the internet.

New pictures from Sobhita and Chaitanya’s engagement

Sobhita’s sister, Samanta Dhulipala shared a bunch of pictures on her social media from the engagement ceremony of Sobhita with Naga Chaitanya. The pictures feature the Dhulipala and Akkineni’s families along with the lovely couple.

The first picture features the couple with the Dhulipala family. While Sobhita’s parents Venugopal Rao and mother Santha Kamakshi are sitting in the centre, Sobhita Dhulipala and her sister Samanta Dhulipala are sitting on either side. Chaitanya is standing behind Sobhita in the picture.

In the second picture, Sobhita and Chaitanya are posing with the Akkineni family, featuring Nagarjuna, his wife Lakshmi Daggubati and son Akhil Akkineni.

The fourth picture features both families together in one frame. While the parents of the groom and bride are standing behind, Sobhita can be seen sitting next to Chaitanya and giving a warm smile to his brother Akhil.

Traditional outfits

For the engagement ceremony, Sobhita and Chaitanya opted for a customised Manish Malhotra ethnic outfits. Designer Manish Malhotra took to his social media and wrote about these stunning outfits. He wrote, “Sobhita is wearing Uppada silk (from the region Uppada, Andhra Pradesh) in the golden blush colour of the Kanakaambaram, a traditional temple flower commonly worn in the hair by Telugu women as well as the eternal Padmam (lotus).”

Sobhita completed her engagement look with multiple gold bangles, glossy nude lips, kohl-rimmed eyes, gold earrings and a sleek bun. In the pictures, her engagement ring is visible which is a solitaire paired with a plain band.

Naga Chaitanya is wearing a version of the classic Pattu pancha, laalchi and kanduva- a traditional three-piece set worn by the men of Andhra Pradesh.
