Singham Again: Ajay Devgn to fly to Sri Lanka for the cop film’s shooting? Here’s what we know

Ever since the time the Rohit Shetty directed Singham Again had been announced, it has been making news and for all the right reasons. The film is definitely one of the most awaited ones of recent times. The audiences all over are eagerly awaiting every single update about the film.

Speaking about Singham Again’s update, a latest (source based) report in Mid Day has now stated that the film’s crew will be heading to Sri Lanka for the film’s shooting. The same report stated that, Singham Again, which happens to be the third film in the Singham franchise, will be seen drawing parallels to the globally famous mythological Ramayan.

Just like the Ramayana, whose crux happens to be the victory of the good over the evil, Singham Again too follows the same trajectory of the good being victorious over the evil. The said news report stated that ‘the story of Ramayana had inspired filmmakers over generations and that when the director of Singham Again Rohit Shetty had sat down to create the film, he wanted to give the cinegoers something new.

At the same time, Rohit Shetty also reportedly wanted to keep the film’s premise rooted in our culture, despite offering something new. That’s the reason it can be rightfully said that the Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh starrer Singham Again seems like a film inspired by the evergreen Ramayana.

The report also stated that, a few portions of the film Singham Again will be shot in Sri Lanka, which also happens to be the place where the evil Ravana used to reside, as per the mythological lore Ramayana.

As for the film Singham Again, besides the trio of Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh (who play the respective Singhams from their films), the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor and Tiger Shroff. What is remarkable about Singham Again is that it will see Arjun Kapoor playing the negative role for the first time in his Bollywood career.

Singham Again is now all set to be released during Diwali this year, although the date is yet to be announced. Watch this space for further updates and developments.
