Sikandar: Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna to fly to Europe to shoot film’s songs

Bollywood star Salman Khan recently made headlines when he revealed that he has been suffering from broken rib injuries. Despite the health issues, the actor participated in the Ganesh Utsav celebrations held in Mumbai recently and is set to fly to Europe for the shooting of a dance number for his upcoming film Sikandar with actress Rashmika Mandanna.

Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna to shoot songs for Sikandar in Europe

According to reports by Bollywood Hungama, actor Salman Khan and actress Rashmika Mandanna will fly to Europe by the end of 2024 to shoot a dance number and a romantic song for their upcoming film Sikandar. Apart from these songs, the star cast is also reported to shoot key sequences in Europe.

Giving more information about the film’s songs, the report revealed that composer Pritam has composed two songs for Sikandar and producer Sajid Nadiadwala is expected to shoot them on a grand scale in Europe. The report added that the team of Sikandar is currently busy doing a recce to finalise shooting locations.

Helmed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar will feature Salman in a double role with Baahubali fame Sathyaraj as an antagonist. AR Murugadoss has directed films such as Ghajini, Thuppakki, Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and Sarkar.

Actors Prateik Babbar and Suniel Shetty will play pivotal roles in the film, while Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady of Sikandar. It was recently reported that actress Kajal Aggarwal has joined the film’s star cast. Sikandar marks the first onscreen collaboration between Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna.

Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Sikandar will release on Eid 2025. Salman and Sajid have previously collaborated on projects such as Kick, Judwaa and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.

Salman kickstarted the shooting of Sikandar with an action sequence which was shot 33,000 feet above sea level.

Salman was last seen alongside Katrina Kaif in Yash Raj Films’ Tiger 3, directed by Maneesh Sharma. The film is a part of the Tiger franchise and YRF’s spy universe which also includes Pathaan, War and upcoming Alia Bhatt starrer Alpha.
