Sidhu Moosewala, who was a singer and later turned politician, tragically lost his life at the age of 28 in Punjab's Mansa district when he was shot dead on May 29, 2022.
Accompanied by two friends, Sidhu Moosewala was en route to a village in Punjab when their SUV became the target of a hail of bullets. Sidhu, the sole child of his parents at the time, was discovered slumped in his seat, grievously wounded and bleeding. Tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
He had also fought an election from Mansa in the last Assembly election on a ticket from the Congress party, but was defeated by AAP's Vijay Singla. In order to cancel the VIP culture, Punjab's CM Bhagwant Mann had withdrawn his security and just a day later, he was shot dead.
