Many celebrities from the Telugu cinema fraternity have been coming forward in support of Prabhas and Kalki 2898 AD, after Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi’s recent ‘joker’ comments about Prabhas' character in the epic sci-fi film. Now, Telugu star Siddhu Jonnalagadda has joined the online debate.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda on Arshad Warsi's comments

In a recent podcast, Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi had expressed disappointment with Prabhas and his acting in Nag Ashwin's film. He remarked - "Prabhas, I’m genuinely upset. Why did he come across like a joker?

In response, Tillu Square actor, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, took to his social media pages to share his thoughts on the matter. In a note, the actor wrote that while everyone has the right to voice their opinion on any matter, the way we choose to express it matters. "Everybody has a right to an opinion. We all like/hate films and actors according to our whims and fancies, and that is alright. But how you express that opinion matters, big time. We are all game for some constructive criticism, but terms like 'joker' don't exactly scream the same," Siddhu said.

He further said that Kalki 2898 AD is a true representation of the pride of Indian cinema and also emphasized that Nag Ashwin is an exceptional director, while Prabhas is undeniably one of the biggest stars in the Indian film industry.

He further highlighted that the movie's greatest strength was Prabhas and his immense stardom. This "X-Factor" is what helped the film surpass Rs 1000 crore at the box office.

He concluded by saying, “In Telugu cinema, we respect everyone's right to their opinion, as long as it's expressed considerately. Let's ensure mutual respect here, please.”

    Nani too joins the debate

Earlier, stars like Nani had also expressed their thoughts on the actor’s remarks and came out in support of Prabhas. At a press meet for his upcoming film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, Nani said that Arshad has received the ‘biggest publicity’ after the incident and requested fans not to give ‘unwanted attention’ to these things.
