Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari and noted actor Siddharth never shy away from expressing their love, be it by posting each other’s pictures on social media or arriving on the red carpet together. The couple announced their engagement earlier this year and are all set to tie the knot very soon. Speaking to Vogue in an interview, the couple discussed their proposal story and how special it was for Aditi.

Aditi and Siddharth’s proposal story

During a conversation with Vogue, the couple was asked about their proposal story. Actress Aditi revealed that they had a running joke among themselves that Siddharth would often kneel, but instead of proposing would tie his shoelaces, so Aditi was surprised when it happened.

Speaking further about the proposal, Aditi revealed that she was closest to her nani (maternal grandmother) and that she started her schooling in Hyderabad. So, one day, Siddharth asked Aditi if he could see the place knowing fully well how close the actress had been to her grandmother, who passed away a few years ago. Hence, the couple traveled together and went to the place where Aditi had spent her childhood.

Aditi revealed that when the two reached the location, Siddharth got down on his knee and she asked him, ‘Now what have you lost? Whose shoelaces are open?’. But the actor replied, ‘Addu, listen to me’ and then he proposed to her. Aditi shared that Siddharth wanted to propose to her at her favourite childhood place, the one with her grandmother’s blessings.

Aditi on falling in love with Siddharth

Talking about falling in love with Siddharth, Aditi said that she feels certain that the two would have dated if they’d met each other in their teens. She said, “I’ve not been in too many relationships because when I see someone, I instantly know if this is my person. When I met Siddhu, that’s what I felt and had no doubt about it. Of course, there is a process of growing together in a relationship but I had none of that going on in my mind when I met him, it was all about that moment.”

In March this year, Aditi and Siddharth announced on social media that they got engaged. The couple also shared a picture of themselves, flaunting their engagement rings.
