All it took was just a film like Stree 2 for Shraddha Kapoor and the rest of the team to get catapulted into the land of extraordinary films which have set the box office on fire! With each passing day, the Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 has only been on a roll. In the path thus traversed, the film has surpassed the box office records set by the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his two films Pathaan and Jawan.
The ever-so-down-to-earth Shraddha Kapoor was recently talking at the NDTV World Summit. When asked about her recent film Stree 2 overtaking the box office collections of Shah Rukh Khan's two landmark films… in the form of Pathaan and Jawan, shraddha Kapoor replie, "I have an absolutely fantastic leading man in our Indian film industry, Shah Rukh Khan, who I’ve grown up being a fan of. So, we’ll keep that where it belongs. But to be very, very honest, I am thrilled and overjoyed to be a part of a film that has received so much love."
In the same breath, Shraddha Kapoor said (with excitement filling her voice) that she was extremely and very genuinely thrilled to be a part of a project which went on to garner so much appreciation (from the audiences and at the box office). She said that she was extremely joyful and had immense gratitude towards the extraordinary love that the film Stree 2 has received.
On her part, Shraddha Kapoor said, “I have an absolutely fantastic leading man in our Indian film industry, Shah Rukh Khan, who I’ve grown up being a fan of. So, we’ll keep that where it belongs. But to be very, very honest, I am thrilled and overjoyed to be a part of a film that has received so much love.''
When asked about the box office comparison between her film Stree 2 and the Shah Rukh Khan starrers Jawan and Pathaan, Sraddha Kapoor said, ''I know you're (referring to the show’s host) saying this again and again that our film has beaten this film or that film. But very honestly, the way I see it, any Hindi film doing well is great for the industry. It’s exciting to have a film that does well, but it’s even more exciting when the entire industry thrives and collectively a lot more films succeed."
As for the film Stree 2, the film now stands at Rs. 597.66 crores (India Net Collection) and Worldwide Collection of Rs. 856.79 Crores.
