Shraddha Kapoor drops birthday post for 'pasandida purush' Shakti Kapoor in Stree style; Varun Dhawan gushes over him

Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor is celebrating his 72nd birthday today, September 3. On the special occasion, his daughter and actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is currently enjoying the glorious success of Stree 2, dedicated a special social media post to him. In her post, she went on to call him her "pasandida purush” and shared a heartwarming picture with him.

Taking to Instagram, Shraddha shared a picture of herself with her dad Shakti Kapoor on his birthday. She captioned the post, “Aaj mere pasandida purush ka janam din hai! Happy Birthday Baapu @shaktikapoor. Woh stree hai, woh kuch bhi kar sakti hai kyunki uske papa ka haath har dum uske sar par hai. Love you Baapu.”

The picture features Shraddha wearing a bright pink shirt, paired with a wavy hairdo, and smokey eye makeup. Shakti, on the other hand, looks dapper in a black and white shirt, paired with white spectacles.

Reacting to the birthday post, Shraddha's BFF and actor Varun Dhawan wrote, “Shaksssss looking fresh,” while actress Karisma Kapoor commented, “Happy birthday Shakti ji.”

Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 becomes a blockbuster

Shraddha was recently seen in the horror-comedy film titled Stree 2. Also starring Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee among others, the film is set in the fictional town of Chanderi which is haunted by the spirit of Sarkata. To fight Sarkata, the people of Chanderi seek the help of Stree’s daughter, played by Shraddha in the film.

Stree 2 has been on a record-breaking spree. The film has earned more than Rs 700 crore at the global box office. According to the latest reports, the film surpassed Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal's domestic box office collections by earning Rs 508 crore till day 19 of its release. Without any stiff competition at the box office, the film is expected to keep earning more at the box office. In the coming days, Stree 2 is expected to overtake SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which collected Rs 51 crore at the domestic box office.
