Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 earns 37 lakh rupees in advance booking: reports

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer horror comedy film Stree 2 will be releasing soon. While the star cast is busy promoting the release of the film, the makers unveiled the film’s two song featuring cameos by actress Tamannaah Bhatia and actor Varun Dhawan. According to reports, the sequel film has already earned 37 lakh rupees in advance booking for its opening day!

As per a Sacnilk.com report, Stree 2 has earned 27 lakh rupees in advance booking. Stree had sold 9731 tickets for 2018 shows, earning 37.58 lakh in Hindi. On Saturday, the makers announced that the advance booking for Stree 2 has opened and the film will premiere on August 15 with night shows starting at 9.30 pm. While sharing the poster of the film, Maddock revealed, "Stree 2—Advance Booking Open Now.”

"Woh Stree hai, woh kuch bhi kar sakti hai (She is Stree, she can do anything)! Isilye woh aa rahi hai ek raat Pehle (So she is coming a night early), just for you. Stree2, the legend returns on Independence Day eve, with night shows from 9:30 pm onwards on 14th August 2024," it added.

Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, will release on August 15. The film also features Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles. Helmed by Jayprad Desai, the film is produced by Dinesh Vijan and written by Niren Bhatt.

Stree 2 is the sequel film to Maddock’s highly successful horror comedy film Stree. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film has been set in the small town of Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh. The film is a part of Maddock’s horror comedy universe which also produced Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon-starrer Bhediya, that was released in 2022 and also the Abhay Verma and Sharvari Wagh starrer Munjya, which had been released this year.

Stree 2 is set to feature cameo performances by stars from other films of Maddock and Varun Dhawan will have a crossover in Stree 2 as Bhediya.
