Shoaib Malik ties the knot with Pakistani actress Sana Javed, confirms separation with tennis legend Sania Mirza

Since last year, rumours have been doing the rounds of tennis legend Sania Mirza and her Pakistani cricketer husband Shoaib Malik’s marriage hitting the rocks. Shoaib took fans by surprise as he shared his wedding pictures with Pakistani actress Sana Javed today (January 20) thus confirming his separation from Mirza. Sania and Shoaib tied the knot in 2010 and are also parents to a son Izhaan who was born in 2018.

Talking about the same, the pictures from Shoaib and Sana’s wedding have them posing in a warm embrace with each other. While the cricketer can be seen sporting a white Sherwarni, Sana can be seen in a pastel-coloured lehenga. He captioned the same stating, “Alhamdullilah. "And We created you in pairs.” Take a look at the same.

Shoaib and Sania chose to remain tight-lipped about their separation rumours even though it was speculated that it might have been fuelled due to the cricketer’s closeness with Javed. Shoaib also shared a birthday wish for the Khaani actress on her birthday last year (March 25) which had furthermore grabbed many eyeballs. For the unversed, the Pakistani actress was earlier married to singer Umar Jaiswal in 2020 but the former couple separated in 2023. Sana has also changed her name in her Instagram profile to Sana Shoaib Malik.

Sania had shared a cryptic post on her Instagram story which had sparked rumours of her divorce with the cricketer. She shared a quote about choosing your hard path in life. The quote had the lines, ‘Marriage is hard, divorce is hard, choose your hard.’ Take a look at the throwback social media post of the Indian tennis star.

For a while, the rumours of Sania and Shoaib’s divorce had also died down when they hosted the show Mirza-Malik together in Dubai last year. They also celebrated their son’s birthday during that time. But seems like they have parted ways for good. On the work front, Sana has been part of Pakistani shows like Sukoon, Ranjish Hi Sahi and Behadd.
