Shehzada first review: Unlike Bhool Bhulaiyaa's massive success, Kartik Aaryan's latest flick receives a lukewarm response

The early reviews are in for Shehzada and they might spell trouble for Kartik Aaryan.

Shehzada first review: Unlike Bhool Bhulaiyaa's massive success, Kartik Aaryan's latest flick receives a lukewarm response

The first review of Kartik Aaryan ’s Shehzada is out ahead of its release on February 17. The movie was in buzz right since its inception, being the official Hindi remake of Allu Arjun’s blockbuster film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo . It also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role and now the first overseas review of the movie is out.

Talking about the same, South Asian film critic Umair Sandhu has already gotten his eyes on the film and has rather given a lukewarm response to the same. The movie has been helmed by veteran comedy director David Dhawan’s son Rohit Dhawan and Sandhu labeled the film as a mixture of all the films that had been directed by David. Not only this but the critic also called Aaryan’s performance to be strictly average and that Kriti is just reduced to be a showpiece in the film. Take a look at the post.

The critic gave just 2.5 stars to Shehzada which qualifies as below average. However, many fans of the Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety actor refused to believe the reviewer’s post and instead started trolling him. However, if the review stands true, it might spell trouble for Kartik Aaryan whose previous theatrical release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was a massive success at the box office. To continue his hit streak, it is necessary for the actor to taste a victory with Shehzada’s box office collections too.

The film which was earlier supposed to be released on February 10 was pushed to release on February 17 because of the ongoing blockbuster run of Pathaan. However, even the advance booking results of the Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer don’t look too good. As per reports, Shehzada has received a lukewarm response at the ticket counter, selling only 2,300 tickets in national chains PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis as of Sunday night. The film's advance booking trend seems to be affected severely by Pathaan as well as the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe's Antman and The Wasp.
