Shefali Shah opted out of Rangeela after working for just 4 days, says role turned out to be different
Shefali Shah had begun her career in the Hindi film industry with Rangeela, where she played the character of Mala. However, she had opted out of the film just after 4 days of shooting.

Shefali Shah is now considered one of the most talented actresses in the industry. After her performance in Delhi Crime , the audience just waited with bated breath to see her on-screen again, and they have never been disappointed. The actress had also been part of iconic films like Satya , and had made her debut with Rangeela where she played Mala Malhotra. However, she had opted out of Rangeela just four days after shooting.
In an interview with India Today, Shefali Shah recalled that her character in Rangeela turned out to be very different than what she was told. She said, "Honestly, the role turned out to be very different from what I was told and understood. Moreover, it was very different from what it got made. After four days of shooting, I realized that this is not what I want to do, this is not what I was told. So I excused myself out of the film." But she does not regret being a part of the film. In fact, she went on to add that she landed Satya because of her stint in Rangeela.
Shefali Shah would next be seen in the medical drama Human. Directed by her spouse, Vipul Amrutlal Shah , Shefali would be playing Dr. Gauri Nath. In the series, she will share the screen with Kirti Kulhari and Ram Kapoor. She will play a doctor again in Doctor G , co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh .
