'She is literally a child' : Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur's kissing scene from Tiku Weds Sheru trailer leaves netizens disgusted

The trailer of Tiku Weds Sheru starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in the lead roles was released yesterday (June 14). The movie is also Kangana Ranaut’s debut production venture. However, a particular scene from the trailer which involves Nawazuddin and Avneet kissing has not gone unnoticed by the netizens and is drawing immense backlash on social media.

Talking about the same, the scene has Nawazuddin Siddiqui wearing a grey shirt while Avneet Kaur can be seen donning a red attire with a head accessory. The duo can be seen kissing against the backdrop of what looks like a beach. Take a look at the same.

No sooner did the video go viral than netizens started expressing their disgust toward the age gap between the lead pair. One of the netizens stated, “She is literally a child in front of him. Isn’t she 21-22? Bollywood is sweeping down because wtf is this? Inappropriate and disturbing.” Another user said, “Director should be dragged man...Woh uski daada je umar ka hai aur sharam bhi nahi aati iss avneet ko.” A netizen added, “Ye approve kisne kia why on earth Bollywood is normalizing this absurdity and don't need to feel bad for Avneet feel bad for yourself that you've to see this madness?” Another user furthermore stated, “Like seriously! How she agreed?? How did her parents allow it?” A netizen pointed out how there would have been a huge hue and cry if the gender roles would have been reversed. The comment said, “Yuck disgusting just imagine if the genders are reversed kitna kuch sunnay ko milta uss senior actress ko ps: recently ppl trash talked about tabu being cast opposite Ishaan Khattar.”

Kangana Ranaut also earlier released the trailer for the same. Tiku Weds Sheru’s trailer revolved around the comedy of errors which takes place when a junior artist gets married to an aspiring actress. The movie will be released on Amazon Prime Video on June 23, 2023.
