Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are all set to tie the knot on June 23 in Mumbai. The rumours of their wedding were confirmed after the two started posting images with their family and friends from pre-wedding celebrations. There were speculations of a tiff between Sonakshi and her parents, Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha, over her wedding. But that seems to have been put to rest after pictures from a pre-wedding event had Sonakshi’s entire family. And they looked happy to be a part of the celebrations.

On Instagram, a celebrity stylist named Sanam Ratansi reshared a picture from Sonakshi’s pre-wedding celebrations that featured the actress, Zaheer and Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha.
The selfie was taken by Sonakshi and other wedding guests can be seen in the background, including Zaheer and Sonakshi’s parents. The picture seems to put an end to all rumours about the Sinha family being upset with Sonakshi about her decision to marry Zaheer. Recently, Shatrughan also posed with Zaheer in front of the paparazzi.

Confirming his presence at the wedding, the actor told Zoom, "I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn't I and why won't I? Her (Sonakshi's) happiness is my happiness and vice versa. She has every right to choose her partner and the other details of her wedding. I am extremely tied up with my political work in Delhi. The very fact that I have still been in Mumbai conveys that I am here not only as her pillar of strength but as her real kavach as well.”
According to reports, Sonakshi and Zaheer will register their wedding on June 23 and will celebrate the occasion in Mumbai's Bastian. The couple’s audio wedding invite was leaked recently, after which actress Poonam Dhillon and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh confirmed their presence at the celebrations.
According to reports by the Hindustan Times, Sonakshi will host the haldi ceremony at her Bandra apartment. The event will be an intimate ceremony attended by no more than 50 people.
