Sharmajee Ki Beti trailer- Tahira Kashyap Khurrana impresses in her directorial debut

The trailer starts off with the introduction of Jyoti Sharma, who is unable to take out the middle path of her middle-class life. This is then, followed by the introduction of Kiran Sharma, the very lady who had got exported from Patiala to Mumbai… just a year back! Then, the audiences are treated to the introduction of Tanvi Sharma, a young dynamic sportswoman who is eternally hungry to win and also to eat! 

As for the characters, while Jyoti Sharma is being played by Sakshi Tanwar, Kiran Sharma by Divya Dutta, and Tanvi Sharma by Saiyami Kher. The entire film, in a nutshell, can be summed up as a slice of life one with characters which are extremely relatable.

All the three Sharma women are stuck in the circle called life. How they come out of it or break away from the ‘vicious circle’ is what forms the crux of the gripping trailer. As for Kiran Sharma, she is someone who is shown yearning for the attention and time of her super-busy husband. The extent of her loneliness reached upto such an extent that, she lands up shouting at the local vegetable vendor for being super busy in his world and not having time to even ask about her well-being!

On the other hand, Jyoti Sharma’s battles deals with the dealing if her young but growing up daughter, who complains to her for not bring able to take care of her properly. Seeing all this, she, one day, tells her husband that she is clueless about the reason why she (her daughter) hates her so much. That’s when her husband comforts her saying that she is confused and that she is now growing up as well.

While the film marks the debut of Tahira Kashyap Khurrana as a director, it is being produced by Ellipsis Entertainment Production. The film will be streamed on Prime Video on June 28.
