Shah Rukh Khan speech
2023 was the year of superstar Shah Rukh Khan! You can’t convince us otherwise. So it was not a surprise when the actor was bestowed with the Indian Of The Year Award recently. However, what stood out was his long speech which was an emotional and exhilarating experience for all his fans out there. So here are 5 things from his winning speech that stood out for us.
Indian Of All Ages - The proud actor beamed with a twinkle in his eye when he said, “I don't just feel like Indian of the year, I am an Indian of all the ages gone by. I will be the Indian of all the years to come. I am an Indian of all ages.”
Gratitude To His Fans- Despite unabashedly admitting that he wants to enjoy this award all by himself, Shah Rukh did not lose his humility. He offered gratitude to all his fans for making his three releases last year namely Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki huge hits. He thanked his fans for bringing joy and happiness to him and his family.
I’m Hungry - The Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge actor said, “It’s been a long time since I bloody won an award” leaving the crowd to split. Hence the actor had no qualms to reveal that he wished to devour this award all by himself. To further express his humorously cocky mood, SRK said in the voice of his character Vikram Rathore from Jawan, “I’m cocky.”
Signing His Movies Impulsively- The Dil Toh Pagal Hai actor confessed that he signs his movies impulsively without giving them much thought. He also wishes that a voice comes to his head from the future hinting that this will be a bad idea. SRK added that he never thinks about the box office results of his films before signing them.
Good Begets Good- Shah Rukh stressed that he focuses on essaying good characters since he believes that good begets good. He added that whenever he played negative roles, he made sure that his character died a dog’s death. He also hinted that he believes that everything ultimately falls into place in our lives too. He hinted that before 2023 and his long hiatus, many of his movies tanked at the box office, and on the personal level too, his son Aryan Khan was embroiled in an alleged drug case. But eventually, the tables turned and the last year was a stellar one for me. On a concluding note, he said, that after a turbulent phase, life takes a turn for the better, and if it doesn't, “Picture Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Dost.”
