Shah Rukh Khan books Eid 2026 for the release of Siddharth Anand's King? Here’s what we know

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known by many adjectives which truly describe his inimitable status in the glitzy world of silver screen. One may call him ‘Badshah’ or even King Khan, the fact remains that he is an undisputed Khan for all the seasons and reasons.

Speaking of King, this also happens to be the title of his next film which stars his daughter Suhana Khan. The film has been directed by Sujoy Ghosh. There has been non-stop buzz about the film ever since the time the film was announced. There was also a big buzz regarding the film’s release date, which has made all the fans and followers of the ‘King’ totally impatient and curious.

Speaking about the release date of King, the well-known media person Himesh Mankad took to social media and revealed that (as per a source quote) that the said film King will be going on floors in Mumbai from the month of January in the presence of Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. It also added that the first schedule of the film King will be starting in Mumbai from January, followed by a marathon schedule in Europe!

And as far as the film’s release date is concerned, it has been said that Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are looking to release the film during the auspicious festival of Eid of 2026. Considering the fact that it’s been quite some time since the festival of Eid did not have a Shah Rukh Khan film releasing, King is expected to fill that gap!

As for the film King, it stars Shah Rukh Khan in the role of Suhana Khan’s mentor while the latter plays his protégé in the underworld. The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan playing an antagonist for the first time in his career spanning many years in Bollywood.
