Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan's action thriller Kick NOT shelved, here's when the shooting will begin

For those who were upset thinking that Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan’s action thriller flick titled King might be shelved, here’s some good news for you all. The movie is not only very much happening but the father-daughter duo is soon expected to start shooting for the same from May this year. The film will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

According to a news report in Pinkvilla, the movie also has Pathaan director Siddharth Anand coming on board as a co-producer along with Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Several speculations claimed King has gotten shelved but the latest development suggests that SRK and Suhana have started prepping for the same. They will start filming for the movie in May 2024.

A source close to the development revealed to the publication, “Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh have been constantly in touch with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan with multiple meetings from October 2023 to February 2024. Sujoy is meticulously working on the script with Sid and SRK. Designing world-class action sequences rests fully on Siddharth.” The script reading sessions and the casting for the rest of the cast members are also underway.

The source further added, “Sujoy has started casting for the ensemble cast as the idea is to take off from May 2024 and make it the big ticket offing from SRK in 2025.” The superstar has a choc-a-bloc schedule with this one too in the pipeline. He will begin shooting for the much-awaited Pathaan 2 after King in December 2024.

Shah Rukh is also in talks with Raj & DK and Farah Khan for some movies. He then has the ambitious Tiger Vs Pathaan opposite Salman Khan for which he will begin shooting in 2026. There are also rumours of the megastar in talks with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for a film. Talking about Suhana, she made her Bollywood debut recently with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.
